UPCOMING EVENTS:
The first WFC monthly meeting of the year has been moved from Helen's Restaurant to Nick's Restaurant, 895 South Jefferson Avenue, Cookeville, TN. Eat at 6:00 PM, meet at 7:00 PM.
LOOKING AHEAD:
February we do a Valentine party and in the past have done this instead of our regular monthly meeting. We won't be able to do that this year because of changing meeting places and risking losing it if we don't show up one month. So, we will do something related to Valentines at the February meeting. Any suggestions are welcome.
FROM Tim Huffines, 1st Wheel
Cast your burden on the Lord, and he shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
Psalms 55:22
As we start the New Year, I hope we will start by praying for God to show us what he wants for WFC. I would like to ask everyone to pray for us that we will be able to do this job of First Wheel and Secretary. I want to thank Ken and Melinda for the great job they have done for the past few years. I pray we will be able to fill their shoes.
LOVE YOU ALL!
GOD FIRST
FROM Virgil Paul, Chaplain
The New Year... What does it hold? 365 days from now we will know the answer. The Scripture says, "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose." Opportunity and purpose lie ahead. What will your response be to what arises in your life in 2010? But for now, let's focus on one part of our lives, "Wheels For Christ." We should make sure of one thing, if it is for Christ, live it for Christ. Some clubs have people who pledge to show they are willing to be what the club expects of them. In Wheels for Christ, He, our Lord and Savior, expects us to live a Holy life, not just for a few weeks, but everyday a living sacrifice for Him. I hope you will let your light shine or let your life be an example of the Christian walk. We will answer to Christ for our time in life and our purpose. Our purpose should be more than a "Patch Holder", be a witness. Have a testimony, bow your head and always give thanks every meal, because all of our blessings come from God.
FROM Robyn Hayward, Ride Coordinator
Biker's Prayer
Lord, thanks for the privilege of riding today,
hard on the throttle, wind in my face, my spirit free, as the beauty of your world passes by.
Help me to ride safe and be courteous and patient.
Thanks for paving the highway to Heaven Jesus, when you gave your life for me on the cross.
Help me to live my life for you Lord, I'm sorry for the things I've said and done to hurt others and you.
Help me to say a kind word to the folks along the way today.
Lord, please go ahead to guide me, stay beside me for comfort and behind me for protection.
Thanks for setting me free!
In Jesus name, Amen.
